Bently Reserve Black Tie Wedding - San Francisco, California

Happy Friday, friends! We’re beyond excited to share our first wedding of the 2018 season on the blog today! Nicole and Christian are seriously one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure to work with. We LOVE photographing weddings in San Francisco, and their sunny (and warm!) late January black-tie wedding in the heart of the Finance District at Bently Reserve couldn’t have been a better setting to kick off the 2018 wedding season.

Nicole and Christian planned their wedding while being knee-deep in medical school and commuting between San Diego and the Bay Area. If that wasn’t hard enough already, they decided to plan a black-tie wedding on top of their crazy workload. That’s the kind of people they are. True ROCKSTARS. Whether it’s taking a shot before coming down the grand staircase for their reception entrance (and taking a selfie with all guests cheering in the background) or sharing personalized bear-themed donuts instead of a wedding cake, their wedding was unique & heartwarming in so many ways!

That’s what stuck out to us the most. The incredible love, warmth and sincerity of the families & friends around them. The second we walked into the getting ready room, Nicole’s mom, who we’d never had the chance to meet in person, greeted us with a huge smile that made us feel like longtime friends. Nicole’s bridesmaids were each so fun and excited they would help in each and every way they could.

Jose, Christian’s dad, said it best during his heartfelt toast: “When children find love, we feel joy.” And what a joyful day it was! Nicole and Christian, thank you for giving us the honor of being at your side as you made memories that will last a lifetime — and beyond. We hope you love looking back on them as much as we loved being there with you.
